Amazon CARES is committed to educational programs and has been since our founding in 2004. Humane Society International granted us $2000 to purchase Spanish Language Humane Education materials. Peru Director Bruno Antoine is a frequent guest on TV and radio programs and appears very frequently in local newspapers to discuss issues important to the community. He gives up to 5 presentations a week to local schoolchildren and adult groups.
The primary goal of humane education is to create a culture of empathy and caring. By stimulating the moral development of individuals, we hope to form a more compassionate and just society.
Our programs with children introduce them to the reactions and emotions of animals, as well as linking this to an understanding of environmental issues and ecosystems.
